THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SCENT AND LOVE

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SCENT AND LOVE

Presence, Perception, Memory, Life, Dreams, Reality, the void of longing called life. Scents, smells & fragrances hold a very intriguing place so very dear to our hearts being nowhere and everywhere at all times omnipresent one would say.

We’ve all had moments in our life whilst being too busy with monotonous daily activity a fragrance flutters over and omnipotent overtakes us for the fraction of a sec taking us back to the warm meadows, the joyful days when times were simpler and joys much warmer.

Guns and Roses were pretty accurately summing it up when they said; She's got a smile that it appears to me

Reminds me of childhood memories, where everything was pretty much as new as the dazzling blue sky

Now and then when I see her face, she takes me away to that special place and if I gaze too long, I'd probably break down and cry.

Scents play a very pivotal part in our lives helping us connect and to open us up to the world. We all have those memories in our closets that trigger at times when it rains when the first drop from the clouds hits the barren land. when our beloved hugs us. Although there is no concrete scientific proof of scents and pheromones influencing direct human behavior, pseudo theories have always been around for centuries.

It has been a common phenomenon that we as humans have always struggled to keep a track of all the scents but we’ve always been able to distinguish the scent of our partners. It’s as entangled in the human kingdom as it’s in the animal kingdom; some animals primarily use the scents and pheromones in order to attract mates and to show dominance.

Love and scent will always be a complement of each other, without the one the other would cease to exist. At Next care, we bring you the best of these scents from around the world and help you decide for yourself about the longing they make you crave the desires they make you embrace.
